Computing

Our schools use the award-winning Purple Mash Computing programme, which offers safe, age-appropriate access to tools ranging from simple painting programs to more complex databases and sophisticated coding tools.

The programme covers all the requirements of the national curriculum, and supports all teachers to teach coding, safe storage, retrieval and sharing of information. It is underpinned by extensive work on digital literacy, including evaluating digital content and using technology safely and respectfully.

Our computing teaching links in across the rest of our curriculum, so children use their digital skills in a wide range of contexts and applications. We work with families to ensure all children have safe and controlled access to technology.
