Lisa Brooks is the Associate Head of School at Cheadle Hulme High School, part of the Laurus Trust. She joined CHHS in 2006 as a teacher of French and Spanish after completing a Master’s in Modern Languages at the University of Manchester.

Over nearly two decades at CHHS, Lisa has held a range of leadership roles including Head of House, Specialist Leader of Education for Languages, Trust Director of Languages, and Co-Director of Sixth Form. She joined the senior leadership team in 2017, taking on responsibility for Teaching and Learning and Professional Learning, and was appointed Associate Head of School in 2023.

In the same year, Lisa completed both a Doctorate in Education (EdD) and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). Her doctoral research focused on the impact of school-to-school support.

Born in Salford and raised in Old Trafford, Lisa is passionate about improving outcomes for young people across Greater Manchester. She is proud to serve as a Trustee of Big Life Schools, supporting their mission to enhance education, health, and social opportunities and outcomes for children in the region.
